Lisa Ann Miles began her nursing career in 1985 as an intensive care nurse, providing high-acuity care and developing a strong foundation in patient-centered practice. In 1995, she earned certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), following her deep calling to support women and their families through the birth process. She developed a particular interest in infertility and collaborated with reproductive specialists at the University of Minnesota, assisting couples with infertility evaluations and IVF treatments.

Her interest in sexual health led her to a part-time position in 2007 with the Program in Human Sexuality at the University of Minnesota. There, she was part of the healthcare team responsible for the evaluation and treatment of compulsive sexual behavior, gender dysphoria, and various sexual dysfunctions, combining both psychological and pharmacological approaches. She also provided care and guidance to adolescents, both male and female.

With her dual expertise as a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Lisa is uniquely equipped to support women experiencing anxiety and depression during pregnancy and postpartum. Across her extensive career in nursing and advanced practice, she has found that humility, empathy, and patient-centered care are paramount. She is highly prepared to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals seeking support, healing, and improved mental health.
